Hello from JustAnswer.
Were you tried on an antibiotic for a specific infection that was identified?
If so, what infection was identified?
Which antibiotic was taken?
Does the shortness of breath limit your ability to walk?
Are you having any fever or cough?
The primary concern with wheezing, cough, probable fever (since you are feeling hot), shortness of breath that limits walking would be a pneumonia.
The antibiotic that you have taken is a good oral antibiotic.
When a pneumonia is causing wheezing and shortness of breath that is bad enough to limit walking and does not respond to an oral antibiotic, it is usually necessary to treat with IV antibiotics, so it would be better for you to be seen at A&E.
