What will Ultrasound test reveal? I have a severe constant

Resolved Question:

What will Ultrasound test reveal?I have a severe constant pain whenever I'm sitting down, it's on the upper left side of my abdomen, next to my stomach and behind my left ribs, it's always in the same place. This place hurts when I'm using my laptop or when I'm watching TV or when I'm sitting on the bus. Sometimes I get sharp stabbing pain on the left side of my stomach. The pain seems to dissapear after I stand up. I suffered the residual effects of all these symptoms for more than
4 years.

does eating do anything?

what are they going to ultrasound? the whole belly?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Sometimes when I eat the pain is there, but I can adjust and the pain goes away while I still eat.The Ultrasound sheet said abdomen, that's all I remember.
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The pain is not in my tummy, it's on the upper left side of my abdomen
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
The location of the pain is the spleen.
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

did your doctor detect enlargement of the spleen?

that could be the case

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
No he didn't detect it as far as I know because I was just describing my symptoms and showed him the area and he said it's the Spleen.
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

Okay.

This is probably what is going on

I suspect enlargement of the spleen.

have you been sick lately?

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I haven't been sick but the abdominal pain I've had for every day since 4 years ago
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

OKay. This should be done then

and if this is normal then a scope of the belly

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
an Ultrasound should be done and it is normal a scope of the belly. Sorry what do you mean by 'scope of the belly'?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

scope of the inside of the stomach

endoscopy

to see if maybe it is coming from the stomach

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Do you think I should do a Nerve Conduction Studies/EMG to see if it is a nerve or muscle problem?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
It's not the stomach, my stomach is fine, I eat fine and excrete fine
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

Only if the ultrasound is normal

Which test do you think will be better, a Nerve Conduction Studies/EMG or a Lumbar Puncture?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

EMG first

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
What would be the reason to do a Lumbar Puncture test if you had already done a NCS/EMG first and that showed you had no nerve or muscle conditions?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

would you mind accepting additional services?

the LP would be looking for things like MS

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
What would the Lumar Puncture be looking for that NCS/EMG doesn't look for?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

things like MS

Customer: replied 10 months ago.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.

yes.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Which one?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

rheumatologist

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
I showed my GP the area of the pain and he said it's the spleen. What's the difference between organ originated or PNS originated? If it's organ originated pain, then will NCS/EMG or Lumbar Puncture pick it up on the test?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

I doubt it is CNS related

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
If it's the Spleen, then does it mean it's CNS related?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 10 months ago.

No, then it is just organ related.

CNS and PNS refers to the nervous system only

Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Okay so if Ultrasound comes out normal then I should look into EMG/NCS?
Customer: replied 10 months ago.
Will the Ultrasound say if it is organ related?
