I'm in mid cycle and have pain that seems to be at both sides

This is pelvic pain I assume? As a radiologist I'm responsible for the ultrasound imaging studies that diagnose these problems. Usually this is just from a cyst in the ovary that popped - these cysts are physiologic (aka normal) and come and go with ovulation. The fact that you are mid cycle doesn't mean this may not be the case. The fact you have pain on both sides makes me NOT concerned about torsion (twisting of the ovary). And I'm assuming it is not possible you are pregnant? Your last menstrual period was normal for you?
