no, they do not

they can visualize certain organs better

why was it done?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
They don't detect the same things or they do? It will be done, hasn't been done yet because of pain in the Spleen area.
Customer: replied 1 year ago.
I will have an Ultrasound soon because of pain in Spleen area.
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.

They do look at the same things but CT is better than US at certain organs and vice versa.

for the spleen, ultrasound is better

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
What about Pancreas?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.

both will see it but CT is better

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Is CT scan usually required after an Ultrasound scan?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.

No, not always. Not if they find the problem

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
How would they know if there is a problem if Ultrasound comes out normal, does it mean there is no problem or they can't find it and would need further investigations such as a CT scan?
Expert:  Dr. Phil, MD replied 1 year ago.

If the ultrasound is normal and you are still having symptoms then you need a CT
