Customer Question

Hi, I am an otherwise fit, athletic and healthy 46 year old with no significant medical history. I have recently had symptoms of excess iron intake, including a non-damgerous arrhythmia - I have had a nutrient dense diet for years but looking back probably have had about 2-3x the iron (esp. Heme iron) I actually need with relatively low protective factors (e.g. phytates). I have had a wide range of tests showing me to be perfectly healthy, however, the symptoms persist.
2 questions, 1) What is the best way to test Iron toxicity in the body? I understand once the blood gets to a certain concentration iron is stored elsewhere around the body so standard blood tests may not work. 2) What are effective, safe ways to detoxify? Thanks in advance, Matt
