I will try to answer your question. But there is no such thing as a liver count. There are many enzymes that can be measured from the liver including ldh, ast and alt. One of these may have been elevated. Heavy drinking can cause them to be elevated. Generally several drinks daily. Cutting back may or may not help. Stopping may or may not help That depends on whether permanent damage or fatty liver has occurred. If this is the case, then the blood work may never be normal. If you cut back significantly you have a good chance of the test being normal in 3 months.
