Customer Question

I have an E220 CDI Estate, registered June 2002. It's fitted with a satnav and phone system, but the phone cradle in the centre console is for a vintage Nokia mobile. Is it possible to get an alternative cradle to suit an iphone.
Thanks,
Richard

Hi Richard,

is the cradle a detachable one or is it a fixed cradle with a curly lead attached to it?

If fixed do you know if it is for the Nokia 6310i?

Best regards, Paul

Hi,
It's a fixed cradle with a curly lead at the rear end.
Hope this helps.

Hi Richard,

the curly lead system is a fixed system and cannot be upgraded through Mercedes.

However there is an excellent solution from an after market company called Viseeo. This is basically a Nokia telephone shaped interface that plugs into your existing cradle giving Bluetooth compatibility with most newer phones.

Click here for details: Viseeo adapter

We have used this solution successfully for a few of our customers with this older system but as it is not a Mercedes part I would contact the supplying company for full compatibility details.

Best regards, Paul
