Customer Question

i have a mercedes sl 350 convertable 3.7 2004, ive fitted a new starter motor and its sparking at bare wire from solinoid to starter, where the wire meets the solinoid its melted the solder join .the original starter i removed first -when i looked at it the wire from solinoid to starter it was a copper colour as if it overloaded and burnt , the wire on both starters comes already fitted at solinoid so you only have to connect the power lead to solinoid but before i fit another starter, can you tell me what you think the problem is / thanks \
