Hello

if the transmisson is slow to shift when cold then its likely that a shift solenoid is bit sticky

usually a oil change will help with this but if it hasn't then then the next step is to drop the sump off the transmisson and clean out the filters and also consider replacing the 1st gear shift solenoid at this point as its then accessible

I'd suggest getting in ouch with a gearbox specialist to carry out this work as they'll be familar with what solenoid is what and their labour rate will be better than a MB dealership

Hi Matt

Haw many filters is there, is it better to change filters rather than cleaning?

Thanks

Hello Numan

the filters are just mesh screens in the bottom of the gearbox so all they require is washing out

Thank you Matt, I will try all what you said
