Resolved Question:

When raising the hood on my 2000 CLK recently it would not complete the final stage - had the hood closed by a recommended garage and the fault diagnosed....was pleased with this for under £50 inc tax............the replacement 'bit' nr side rear of the hood area is going to cost £375 + tax.....I would just like some comfort that this sum is ballpark for this type of job....I believe its a MB part...perhaps enough said

Hello John

if this is the corner section just behind the window then yes its about £350 from mercedes and if that price includes fitting then thats pretty good as its a fiddly job

however I'd suggest contacting these firms 1st as they can often help with a cheaper source of parts

http://www.kmsparts.com/content/en/Mercedes_Car_Parts

and I'd also consider a good used part
