Resolved Question:

My new 220cdi has 225/40 R19 front and 255/35 R19 rear can I use my previous model winter set of 225/40 R18 front and 255/35 R18 rear.

Hello

sorry to say that due to the difference in tyre radius ( the R dimension) the old R18's won't fit onto the new R19 rim

this is despite the width and profile being the same

now if you actually meant is OK to bolt on the R18 wheels and tyres ( if they're fitted to rims) then yes this is fine as you'll only be at a 4% difference in the overall diameter so the car will be slightly undergeared

but only slightly
