hi i have a a class 140 168 model with fault code p0340-001 tjhe timinig was out 2 teeth replaced the chain and sprokets the cam sensor has been replaced any help appreciate any help

Hi Mike the chain has just stretched no valve damage after a drive the fault code goes from P 0340-001 TO P0340-002

This issue really sounds like the ecu is not communicating properly with the engine. To correct this issue the ecu would need to be reset using a dealer diagnostic tool. I am also a warranty inspector and I have seen this issue before.

i reset the ecu yesterday its called bootstrap but fault is as above
