Stan :

Hello,
ESP has detected an electronic fault and stability assistance with anti-block brake function is not active. This can be caused by the sensors you mentioned, but most usual cause is faulty brake light switch. This can be confirmed by reading out the fault codes from ESP control unit with diagnostic computer.

Stan :

If it is a brake light switch fault, the issue repair will cost about 60 pounds for parts and labor

Stan :

best regards,
Stan

JACUSTOMER-u4w6znia- :

ok so not the steering angle sensor? where is the brake light switch located

Stan :

Steering angle sensor is not the most likely possibility.
The brake light switch is mounted to the brake pedal mounting. The cover above driver's feet must be removed to get to it.

JACUSTOMER-u4w6znia- :

This has not solved the problem

Stan :

Then the fault codes need to be read out with diagnostic computer. Any ESP electronic component can trigger the warning light.
