Helllo,Do you mean that starter is cranking the engine, but it does not fire up?When the ignition is turned on, do the lights in the instrument cluster come on as usual? Does your car have an electronic key, or the mechanical folding key?Regards,Stan
Thank you kindly for your reply, I'm sorry I've not been able to reply earlier.
To answer you questions.(a)
The Starter is cranking up the engine but it is not firing it up to stay running.
When the engine is turned on, the instrument cluster lights do not com on.
My car has a mechanical folding key, which I think controls the immobilize.
I hope this helps.
Awaiting your early reply.
Hello Marcus,Since the cluster does not come on, i suggest to check the fuses installed in the main relay. It is located in the engine compartment on the passenger side in the control module box. The box has a lid with several screws which must be removed first. Inside there is a relay module and several control units.
It is not uncommon for the main relay to have an internal fault as well.
I'll try that but I'm a long way away from the vehicle at this time and won't be able to check it out until about Thursday of this week, will keep you informed.
Will talk to you later in the week.
No problem, will be glad to hear from you then. Best of luck.
