My Microsoft outlook mail has being closed by Microsoft. They sent me a message saying that they have suspected that someone is using my account so I have to provide some information in order to verify if I was the true account holder. I cannot be accurate with the details the are asking me for the account account because it had been opened more than 15 years ago. Help please.

Can you please tell me if microsoft has cut you off from trying to answer the questions and advised you to create a new account at this time?

They asked me to provide them with alternative account or create a new one. I sent them the email account and they sent me the questions. When I replied, they sent a reply that the answers were not accurate and they asked me to answer another set of questions.

It can be very difficult if not impossible to get the account back if you cannot verify with proper information they ask. Ultimately it will come down to you being able to verify some information. There is no way they will let you in if you cannot verify anything I am sorry to day.

The issue as I am sure you understand is that they cannot just take people on their word. If they did then accounts would be broken into all of the time.

I have spent many hours researching the options and have helped hundreds of hotmail users that are in your same position.

The methods I am going to share with you are not made public by hotmail but they do in fact work. You will need to be patient though as it could take a couple days. Considering you are about to lose your account though, a few days is worth the wait. It is incredibly important that you very carefully follow my instructions so you complete the procedure correctly.

An option is to reach out to a hotmail representative on their forums, they have access to look deeper into the account and sometimes can help in these situations. You are still going to need to be able to verify some information but sometimes they will help you along with that.

First you are going to need to create another email address with microsoft if you do not already have one. Please go to the following link to create that.

Once you create the new address do the following.

Please click http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/hotmail/hotmail-support

Next choose "Your account has been temporarily blocked"

Tell them you have not been successful with the recovery form.

Be sure that under "Enter the email address (Microsoft Account) affected by this issue:"

You provide them the email address that is blocked and not the new one.

Under ‘Enter your contact email address:' give them the new account you just created.

In most cases they will respond in 24-72 hours, depending on how many requests they have waiting before yours.

A moderator can take a closer look at your account and work with you to try and help you get back in.

As well as sending the message directly to the moderator it can sometimes be quicker to reach out to them in their public forums and they may message you or ask you to message them privately with more information.

Go to the following link and click Post to the Community on the upper right hand side of the page. A box will appear. In that box type what has happened. Remember to be very polite and give as much information as you can. Here is the link to the forums:

Microsoft/Hotmail takes account security very serious which is why they make this so difficult and make you confirm all of that information. It is to prevent unauthorized access to your account. If you have already done the everything I have mentioned above then I am sorry but there are not further options. You will need to confirm enough information to convince them. These alternate methods sometimes work however it is ultimately up to you to be able to prove that it is your account.

I have already another with hotmail, whch I do not use.created it because I travelled to Togo in two occasions but could not open the account because they asked me the same questions, which I could not answer properly.


can I use it in now or open another one.

You can use any you would like for the purpose of using the forums, it just needs to be a microsoft account.
