I have a long Word document in Times New Roman, mainly font

Resolved Question:

I have a long Word document in Times New Roman, mainly font 11. The text becomes paler in places, sometimes for a few words only, sometimes for pages at a time. This is fairly obvious on the screen, not so much when printed on a cheap laser printer, but very obvious on a good printer. How can the text be made to be of uniform density?

Thank you for your question, my name is XXXXX XXXXX I look forward to assisting you.

Please note, click on Reply to Expert to reply to me, a rating is only needed when we are finished.

I want to see if this is corruption within your word document, or Word itself that is causing the problem.

Can I look at the document please? And can you tell me a page number where it is having this issue.

Follow the below instructions for this please.

- Click the following link: http://www.wikisend.com
- Upload the file to that website
- Once it is uploaded, the resulting page will display a "File ID" number.
- Please, give me that "File ID Number"

Thank you

It's a complete book of 347 pages! Shall I just send you the first half?

The entire document is no problem, or just half, I just need to see the problem in the document please.

After you upload the file Richard, you are given a File ID, it is right there.

I need this to download it.

Please upload it again and provide me the File ID

ok, so far I do not see it

tell me exactly which sentence it happens on please

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

On page 133, half way through paragraph 3, dark text becomes lighter immediately after word "Parkhotel".

Page 134 is almost completely pale except for for a few words beginning "Chateau" about 13 lines down.

Ok, this is not a problem for me, so it is your Word program that is the issue Richard.

Which version of word are you using? eg: 2010

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Word 2007.

Possibly it does not look too obvious on your screen but is very obvious when properly printed. I may just have to put up with it!

It also shows in the pdf version.

Expert:  Richard replied 3 years ago.
Ok, see the problem.

Do this Richard.

Select the problem Text, so it is highlighted.

Then at the top of the screen, click on Home, and you see the A with a color under it.

Click on that, and select Black.

You change the font color for this text, so this is the problem, set it back to Black and it is then ok.

Let me know the results please
