Can you open Windows Live Mail
Can you see your talktalk account in the left pane of Windows Live Mail?
Right Click your account and Select Properties
Then click on the Servers tab
Tell me what are the addresses in the incoming mail and the outgoing mail
In incoming it should be: mail.talktalk.netIn outgoing it should be: smtp.talktalk.net
My server requires authentication box should be checked
What is it updating?
the e-mail address was my old one have up dated it

First, tell me what is the address you are seeing in the left pane of Windows Live Mail
i have 2 e mails address
Type them here with spaces before and after the @ SYMBOL
mellis2 @ talktalk.net mellis3893 @talktalk.net is the one i use

mellis2 or mellis3893
Is mellis2 the first one in the left pane?
Okay. Right click on mellis2 and select Properties
Then click the Servers Tab
and tell me what addresses do you see in incoming and outgoing boxes?
Now click the server's tab
And confirm if it it shows mellis2 @ talktalk.net in Email username box?
yes it is
Okay. "My Server Requires Authentication" is this box checked?
Now click Advanced Tab
and tell me the ports for Outgoing and incoming
110 incoming 25 outgoing
Change outgoing to 587
Place a check on both the boxes that reads "this server requires secure connection SSL"
Click Apply, OK.
Then click the second account from the left pane: mellis3893 and select Properties
Go to the Advanced Tab
Set incoming port to 110
Outgoing port to 587
Click Apply, OK
checking the e-mail now

will the result come in the right hand box not showing a number on the sent items
Try to send an e-mail to your own e-mail and see if you receive it.
If you are sending the e-mail from mellis2 then the sent email should appear in the sent items under mellis2 and if you are sending from mellis3893 then the sent email should appear under mellis3893 in sent items
the mellis 2 is not registed only mellis 3893
Do you mean that mellis3893 is the only one that is setup with talktalk?
have tryed and nothing in the sent items for 3893
Did you receive the e-mail you sent to yourself?
Are you getting any errors?

And tell me if this box is checked "my server requires authentication"
yes the middle box is ticked

it has went back to the old e mail mellis2 when i opened window mail

jason been on my e-mail account have received sent test mails to myself so hopefully problem sorted
