Resolved Question:

I wish to add a birthday field to my database showing just the day and month. I then want to take out a report in month order. My problem is that when I specify dd mmmm the field adds the current year so although initially the list was correct as all birth dates were entered at same time and were produced in month order, having moved into a different year the new members added appear at bottom of list and not in month order.

i have the file.

Which report is it that you want to change the sort on?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

I have tried changing the sort The report is birthday list - I don't think the report is the problem

Expert:  The-PC-Guy replied 3 years ago.
you are correct. The problem is in the query that the report pulls from.

If I understand you correctly you want to sort by Month only?

Is this correct?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

yes sort by month then day if possible. There is no problem till adding members in future years

Expert:  The-PC-Guy replied 3 years ago.
