i was notified by a friend about an email which i didnt send. then tried to open my account which i could not, a notice came up saying that my account had been taken over, and then asked me more questions for my details. I was sure if this was part of the hacking

It did not work because the file wasn't opened.

It needs to be opened, after it is downloaded.

Click Start Meeting (after you click Start Meeting) a file called join.me.exe will be downloaded on your computer.

Click on the downloaded file, join.me.exe and click run. Once it runs,

I recall that it was very similar to your Hotmail account. Do you recall now? It the email address started with the letter "P"
