Hi Team!

When I try to delete mail from my inbox on 2003, only a line is scored through the message an it does not go. Needless to say that my inbox is now mounting. Pleeease can you advise, thank you and kind regards

Edit > Purge Deleted Messages,

Close /Open Outlook they will be deleted

That worked, though what I thought might happen that did not, is once I delete an item, outlook does not automatically drop to the next mail, making it far quicker to delete old mails (it always used to) can I be cheeky and ask you to help me with this for the same fee and you will receive a Biiig smiley face!

No Problem

In outlook:
>click 'edit'
>hover mouse over 'purge' from the drop down menu
>select 'purge options'
>check the box 'purge items when switching folders while online'

now, whenever you mark a message for deletion in outlook,

it will be removed from outlook when:

1) you are online, and

2) you switch from your inbox to another folder


This is How Outlook and Imap worls

your using outlook 2003

then you may be best thia way

In Outlook 2003, select View | Arrange By | Current View | Hide Messages Marked for Deletion.
