I am a novice to computing having got my first laptop in

Resolved Question:

I am a novice to computing having got my first laptop in December last at the age of 65. While finding my way I attempted to register with Calendar on Windows. It appears that I inadvertantly gave an incorrect username. I gave it [email protected] instead [email protected] Since then every time I attempt to register I am asked to verify my username , when of course I request them to resend the email they send it to the wrong email address. I only realised my error on 22 April when I set up a new account using my correct username. I would be obliged if you could help me resolve this problem, and if you could do so in simple terms as I am sure you have now realised I certainly am a novice. yours Stephen xxxx

To clarify, you are using Windows Live Mail and the calendar in it, but by accident Windows Live Mail has been registered to the incorrect Hotmail account.

Can you confirm I understand your problem correctly please?

Thats ok Stephen, I have lots of patience :)

In Windows Live Mail, click on the top right Arrow then click on Options, then Email Accounts.

Remove the email account set there by clicking on it then click Remove

Then click Add and add the correct Hotmail account to Windows Live Mail so it is set correctly.

I was disconnected from your computer when you needed to log in again Stephen.

Can you log in, then open the Calendar and sign in with the correct account.
