I'm sorry about the issue. What's the model of your laptop? Does it have windows 8, or another windows version? Is this a new laptop? Do you mean you are able to sign in your Microsoft account at the website http://outlook.com/, but it won't let you sign in with the same microsoft account on the laptop?

Customer: It's a Hp windows 8 two years old. Had two admin users , sadly partner died . I can't get past the front screen to change .

2. Turn on the HP laptop, then right away, keep tapping the key F11 until a menu appears

3. Select the Troubleshoot option. Then select the Recovery Manager option. Then select the option Minimized Image Recovery.

4. Select the option to back up your data /files if you need (you need a USB external hard drive.) And continue.
