Hello & Welcome to JustAnswer.
What is the error message on Outlook?
When trying to send email - error code shows - 0x800ccc78, and sometimes 530 authentication code required
What is the part after the @ symbol of your e-mail address
Are you currently connected to talktalk internet as well?
yes, appears no problems in going on line.
Click Tools -> Account Settings
select your account and click more settings
select the outgoing server tab
and place check on My outgoing server smtp requires authentication
then click the advanced tab
and set outgoing smtp port to 587
click ok / apply and then test
Reply to test: 53 Authentication required (TT401)
Sorry that should be 530 not 53
Did you check the box that reads "my outgoing server requires authentication"?
I'll check again!
Okay. Also below this check, there is another setting which must be select as well and that is
use same setting as my incoming mail server which must also be selected
My outgoing server smtp requires authentication - already checked
My outgoing server smtp requires authentication - was checked --- outgoing smtp port to 587 - already set
May i remotely connect to your system to take a look at issue directly?
