In your email on the samsung galaxy phone, can you go to menu / settings, then tap on your email account, then tap on Incoming settings, then make sure the option "Delete Email from Server" is set to Never, or something similar.

(Note: The steps may be a bit different.)

, then ask someone to send you an email message, then see if that new email message goes to both your phone and your computer. (And/or you can also test sending yourself (send to your own email address) an email message.
