I have been locked out of my e-mail account due to attempted

Resolved Question:

I have been locked out of my e-mail account due to attempted illegal access. I have contacted outlook.com. They texted me a security pass number which I entered and reset a new password ***** still can't access my e mail. I a still getting a message saying we canot access your mail as your account has been updated and the passwordis not recognised

Can you tell me which internet browser you are using please. eg: Internet Explorer?

As the first step I want to reset Internet Explorer
Please do the following in Internet Explorer
Click Tools (the gear wheel top right) than Internet Options
Click on the General Tab and Delete all Temporary Internet Files.
Than click the Advance Tab and click Reset
Then restart the computer and try to sign in.
Let me know the results please

If you follow the steps carefully, you will then be able to have the password ***** and use the new password ***** sign into your account.

Followed reset instructions, received access code via text, entered it and reset password. Tried to access e-mail account with new password ***** still being told password ***** and so cannot sync with your account
