Okay. Your username and password ***** ***** same that you use to login to bt mail via the webmail, and this is what you're going to use in Outlook 2003.

When these are applie the statement shown is:

'unable to expand the folder. The set of folders could not be opened'

An error ref: 0x800CCC0D says:

Unable to find the E-mail Server. Verify the Server information in your account properties.

i am not atall happy to have to pay for a service to correct a fault in Microsoft software. OUTLOOK has never been a problem in any other ISP that I have used.

Correct information concerning the means for overcoming the errors I have described

The error indicate two possibilites:
either the anti virus is blocking email
or the server address is incorrect
i looked up and couldn't find server information for btbroadband.com. Can you double check to make sure the email has @btbroadband.com or does it has @btinternet.com which is what bt usually provides?

So this is the one you're going to use in Outlook:
Here's the server settings:
imap/incoming server address: mail.btinternet.com port 993 SSL
outgoing/smtp server address: mail.btinternet.com port 465 SSL
Please try and remove the incorrect account before adding the correct one.
