I purchased Office 365 today and the word section does will

Resolved Question:

I purchased Office 365 today and the word section does will not recognise it. This happened when I purchased the same using windows 8.1 and lost money on it. I am now on windows 10. As a result I have had to remove Office 365 and am now £80 pounds out of pocket again. As I am a pensioner and a believer in keeping my system up to date I am both frustrated and annoyed. Also I copied the download details and cannot recover them. I was a great promoter on Windows 10 but am getting dismayed!

Hi, I am A. Stevens here to help with your question! Did you purchase Office 365 direct from Microsoft, or was it from a reseller?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Direct from Microsoft, I always deal direct

Expert:  dresteve2000 replied 2 years ago.
I understand, and now at this time when trying to install on Windows 10 what is the error you get?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

When I try to use the section it comes up as Microsoft has a problem and has to close Word

Expert:  dresteve2000 replied 2 years ago.
I see, and you didn't re-install after Windows 10 right? It just came from the 8.1 install?
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

Stayed with windows 10 but had to un-install Office 365 as a result I have a computer that works but am out of pocket with Office 365.

Expert:  dresteve2000 replied 2 years ago.
So now at this time do you have Office 2010 installed? If so, could we try uninstalling that and then installing Office 365? Having both installed at the same time will cause issues
Customer: replied 2 years ago.

I cannot get my download back, the order No was(###) ###-#### ***** am prepared for you to try what you propose. As I do a lot of Historical research I must end up with a working Word and Excel programme at the end, up to now this has cost me £100 for basically being back where I started this morning.

When you purchased, did they send you an email for conformation?
Expert:  dresteve2000 replied 2 years ago.
Which version of Office 365 did you have? I should be able to direct you to a place where you can download again

Sign in with the Microsoft account you used to purchase Office, and then you should be able to access the download

I give up and will leave this matter with my legal advisor. I am a pensioner and naval veteran and will not be ripped off by Microsoft.

You have done your best and thanks
