First I want to make sure the setting is set correctly.
In Outlook, click on the File tab.
Click on Options, and then click on Mail.
Under Save messages, enable the option Save copies of messages in the Sent Items folder.
Then send a test email and tell me please if it is now saved

Click the File tab.
Click Manage Rules & Alerts.
In the Rules and Alerts dialog box, on the E-mail Rules tab, click New Rule.
Set it as
"Apply this rule after I send the message"
"on this computer only"
"Move a copy to the Sent Items folder"
Save this and then send a test
