Go to Start Windows logo, and then to the Store.Make sure you’ve signed in with your Microsoft account. In the search box, enter Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.Select the tile for the app, and select Free. The app will installAfter the app installs, find it in apps. Go to Start Windows logo, and select All apps > Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter.then try to connect (DONE ALL THAT).
WHEN I TRY TO CONNECT I GET THIS MESSAGE:
TO CONNECT GO TO: DEVICES > PROJECT > YOUR ADAPTER NAME
TO PAIR GO TO: DEVICES > PROJECT > ADD A WIRELESS DISPLAY
THE ONLY PROBLEM IS THAT WHEN I GET TO DEVICES THERE IS NO OPTION CALLED "PROJECT".
I was simply trying to connect my laptop to my new 46-inch-monitor TV in order to view anything on a larger screen.
However, you seem to think that reverting to Windows 7 might solve the problem?
If so, how do I revert back to Windows 7 ?
YES, and I Get a screen with the Microsoft Logo and
"Microsoft Display Adapter_14 Ready to Connect" message...
this is the response:
"We could not find another screen to connect to. Check your connection and try again".
thought I'd let you know:
I re-started the computer (see your latest reply before we got disconnected) and nothing happened...
