After installing Windows 10 my HP Deskjet 2050 printer is not

After installing Windows 10 my HP Deskjet 2050 printer is not working. The driver has been re-installed, I have replaced the HP cartridges. The printer stops printing halfway through the page. I have also disconnected and re connected in case that helps.

After installing Windows 10, and re-installing the software, since the printer does not work properly, try the following steps:1. Uninstall all HP printer software.2. Unplug the printer USB cable3. Download only the Basic Driver and install. I am not technical enough to do what you suggest. I wouldn't know how to uninstall HP printer software, I can unplug the USB cable! but a friend downloaded the driver and installed for me. Where do I find "Basic Driver and how do I "install" please.

UNINSTALL THE HP SOFTWARE1. Open Programs and Features by clicking the Start button , clicking Control Panel, clicking Programs, and then clicking Programs and Features.2. Scroll down the list to find any HP Printer software, and then click Uninstall.DOWNLOAD THE PRINTER SOFTWARE1. Click on this link:http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Deskjet-2050A-All-in-One-Printer-series---J510/5068688/model/5068689/drivers/2. Choose option 2 on the page3. Scroll down the page and look for "Basic Drivers" and click on it4. Then click the Download button, select the Download Only option, then click Next to download the driver5. Run the downloaded software to install

I did everything suggested the installation was not successful I clicked send error report to HP. So I still have the problem.
