install build 10532 . I am currently on build 10525 when I try to install build 10532 it reaches about 30% then reverts back to previous installation

Build of what sorry? Windows 10? Office, Linux?

Can you press the windows key + X and click on Command Prompt (Admin)
A black window will open.
Type in it
sfc /scannow
press enter and when it has completed, type in
chkdsk /r
Press enter.
It will give a message "the type of the file system is NTFS cannot lock current drive.
chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be checked the next time the system restarts y/n" Say Y, press enter and restart the computer.
Then try to update and tell me please if it then updates.

did not update - system crashed, had to reinstall, now I cant download apps from windows store

Go to control panel, updates and make sure all latest updates are installedThen try again please.

the only update available is build 10532 which fails to load - this has caused all the problems

ok, your not using an official release and as such you have a lot of issues with it which you are discovering.Your going to be best to install a valid version of windows 7 or 8 and then update from there as you cannot update the app store without being able to access it.
