I'm sorry about the issue. Was this printer working on your windows 10 previously?
What's the model of your printer?
If it's an all-in-one printer, are you still able to make a copy from the printer's glass (not print from the computer)?

No I have just downloaded and installed Windows 10. The printer was working perfectly wit windows 8.1, but you encouraged me to convert to 10
Printer model is Epson Stylus Photo 700 ESC/P 2

Can you disconnect the printer's USB cable from the computer for now
, then go to Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers (right-click on the Start button, then click on Control Panel)
, then right-click on the Epson printer there and remove it for now
, then make sure printer is powered on
, then reconnect USB cable from printer to computer
, then wait a bit and see if the printer got automatically be reinstalled
, then check printing.
