When starting my computer, a window appears saying "Failed to connect to a windows service. Windows couldn't connect to the group policy client service. This problem prevents standard users from signing in". This also causes some programs to either freeze or not work. can you help.

1) Go to Task Manager (open it up by pressing ctrl+alt+delete, then select task manager)
2. Once in Task Manager, go to the tab: Startup
3. You will see that there are a list of apps. Some may be disabled, others enabled. All of these are apps and programs that begin running automatically when your computer is starting up.
4. DISABLE ALL APPS (You must disable all of the apps in this category
5. Once done, restart your computer.
6. After your computer has restarted, try signing in to your Standard User account.
Tell me if you then still get the error please.

I can see you are a first time user to the site. What we do here is either a question and answer type of conversation or remote support where I would actually connect to the computer and have a look and attempt to fix the problem for you.
Remote support can save a lot of time if you are not comfortable performing repairs yourself. Sometimes even with instructions you can make a mistake and make things worse.
