Jess, I am afraid that the work you did on my computer last week has not made any difference and the same problem continues. - ie when I open up powerpoint the computer says that it needs to configure ms office files and asks me to wait while it prepares the necessary files.... but it does not complete the job, and so I am unable to work on the powerpoint files. it has been very frustrating for me and I really do need your help to fix the problem asap.

Thank you for your patience.
I just fixed the problem with your PowerPoint. It is needed that you run it as Administrator. I already set that up so each time you open PowerPoint, it is opened as Administrator but as a result, you will get a prompt and you just need to click OK.
I have also fixed your Excel issues.

Jess, my apologies for delay in getting back to you, as I have been travelling and away. I do want to confirm to you that the problem with my computer has been totally sorted and I am happy with the outcome and will rate the service now.
