Dialog box says "cannot find a licence 2010 go to

Resolved Question:

Dialog box says "cannot find a licence for Word 2010 go to settings to fix this problem" Went to settings and no repair just uninstall. What do I do?

Can you please close all programs
Click on Start, Control Panel.
Click on Uninstall a program.
Click on Office, then click on Change and Repair.
Let this complete and when it has, restart the computer and open Word and it should then be resolved.
I can also do these steps for you, and have made a request via Additional Services. This is optional, and if you choose to do this, I can, with your permission, remote into your computer while you watch and do all these steps (and deal with any problems that arise during them) for you. Or if you do not choose to take this service, we can continue here. This is no problem at all. Just let me know please.

Did as you said but when opened word again the same dialog box appeared. Have repeated the process and now have a screen reading configuration progress with a progress bar that is not showing progress for the last 5/6 mins Apologies it has just started to show some progress

Progress completed Closed down and restarted but same dialog box has appeared

Ok, we will need to reinstall office then.
Make sure you have the office disk with you.
Then go to Control Panel, Uninstall a Program
Select Office and select uninstall.
Once done, restart the computer.
then put the disk in, perform the installation of office and tell me please if word now opens.
