Can you help me, l cannot receive emails on my computer or

Hi can you help me, l cannot receive emails on my computer or my phone and l cannot access Facebook on my computer because l keep getting a message come up from Microsoft asking for my password, this was set up a very long time ago and l have forgotten what it is, Microsoft send me off in a different direction and tell me l will get a code to enter to enable me to reset my password, but l only have one email address so cannot receive it...help
