I have files on my desk top, when I try to open them I get a message saying "Invalid value for registry" what does this mean and how do I rectify this. I cannot do what I need to do with the file. Help.***@******.***

Solution #1:

- Can you please right-click on one HTML file name, then click on Properties. Then click on Change. Then click on Internet Explorer. If needed, click on Show more apps... (or something similar), then scroll down, then click on Internet Explorer, then click OK. Then open some HMTL files and check.

Solution #2:

- If it does not work, please download and install the Firefox program at the website below:

May I thank you for your interest in my problem. During the period we were not communicating I was searching the web and found a solution. I have downloaded and installed Adobe Reader this has solved the problem. I can now open the files which could not be opened before and process them as I wish. So your input is no longer required

I'm sorry. Last time you said "Correction DOC files OK not HTML", so I did not know you had issue with PDF files only. Yes, you would download / install Adobe Reader program in order to open PDF files. I'm glad you got it working now. If you have any other computer question / issue, please let me know any time.
