Can you power off the computer.

Hold the LEFT SHIFT key and with it held, power on the computer and keep tapping F8 until you get to a menu.

Then choose Troubleshoot, Advance, then System Restore.

Follow the onscreen instructions to perform a restore and once it has completed, let me know if it then responds please.

Customer: replied 10 months ago.

Expert:  Richard replied 10 months ago.

ok, then you will need to choose to Reset your PC. You choose the option to keep your files but your programs you will need to install again, this you cannot avoid.

Do my instructions again but choose Reset My PC instead and choose to keep your files.
