i have a mitsubishi lancer sportback and when locking and unlocking

i have a mitsubishi lancer sportback and when locking and unlocking with the remote alls fine, but when i go to open the boot /trunk it wont open, it will open if i crawl inside and do it manually. any suggestions

Can you open the rear boot with the the electrical switch in the car .

No Greg there is no electrical switch in the car, i can open the boot by manually crawling into the back and removing a small panel that allows me to operate a lever.

no. trying the boot it still feels locked

Hi .

Open the boot and where the latch fits in is an actuator motor that opens the
boot check that this is still connected to the wiring .
Then activate rthe remote and see if you can hear a click ,
