Which Mitsubishi, what engine .and year of the car

Have you checked for malfunction codes .if yes what codes do you have .

hi greg 2002 twin coil spacestar 1.3car was cutting out and dying when running fault code came up as crank position sensor replaced that then tried it. engine misfire at 1500 to 2000 rpm occurred fault code came up misfire cyl no 2 replaced plugs and no 2 coil pack no different. fault code came up again crank position sensor circuit sometimes you think car wont start at times rgds john

greg have just tried to start car this morning starts up but cuts out after 5 seconds when I hit the throttle it dies fault code comes up p0340 cam position sensor circuit fault any ideas have already fitted a new sensor could it be faulty its got the same problem even before I fitted new sensor rgds john

Hi John .
4 cylinder two coil on two plugs and two coil wires on 2 plugs.
Just making sure as need to be sure which engine you have.

You have code P0340 and P0302 is this correct .

Hi John .

Swap No.2 for No. 3 injectors ,
Clear codes test drive and when the check engine light comes back on
recheck for codes and if the fault code changes for P0303 then replace that injector ,
If the codes stays P0302 then do a compression test on all cylinders with all plugs remove and full throttle, with a fully charged battery . ..
