how do i remove the uj joints to replace i have just changed

how do i remove the uj joints to replace i have just changed diff seal and now doing prop shaft bearing and ujs

Hi there, the U - joints are pretty straight forward. Depending on what tools you have available.

Jake :

Just make sure you mark the prop shaft prior to removal.

Jake :

then the most common way to remove them with basic at home tools

Jake :

is to remove the C - clips with a screwdriver

Jake :

then using a socket and a vice

Jake :

place a socket the size of the inner joint on one side and a larger socket on the opposite side and press it out with the vice.

Jake :

they also make multiple universal joint removal tools to use with a vise and even c-clamp version joint removals for an at home job.

any of the above will work just fine.
