Ask a Neurologist and Get an Answer ASAP
Hello and thank you for your question.
If you had sinus infection recently than it is entirely possible that you would experience such headaches. If it is unilateral it can be migraine headache.
You need to take medication like IMIGRAN for migraines.
But I do not have a history for migraines
It is not necessary that you would get migraines only if you had history.
Do I need to see a neurologist?
If you are not comfortable taking imigrain, take paracetamol to ease the pain.
Yes you can see a neurologist if the frequency is increasing.
ok I will try imigrain too
Okay. Try imigrain and see it helps.
Drink plenty of fluids and rest.
I will, even now my nose is blocked but there is no secretion
That is due to sinus inflammation.
Sinus inflammation can also lead to such headaches.
Try to use saline to clear your nasal passage.
I was thinking of having a full blood test to see if there is any sign of infection.
As for saline, I am using risonel at the minute
You need CT scan to see if there is a sinus inflammation or not.
I had CT scan two years ago
okay. If your are concerned than CT scan should be repeated.
I would suggest to take paracetamol or imigrain to ease the pain and this is likely due to sinus inflammation.
ok, thank you.
I wish you the best.
