Is it possible for a GBM to be caused from a trauma (blow)

Resolved Question:

Is it possible for a GBM to be caused from a trauma (blow) to the head and if so, would this be evident on diagnosis?

Dr. Bob :

Head trauma is not considered a risk factor for GBM. It is very unlikely to be a cause.

Dr. Bob :

It's most likely the result of a combination of genetic susceptibility and an environmental exposure such as ionizing radiation or a virus.

Dr. Bob :

Upon diagnosis, it is currently impossible to know the cause.

Dr. Bob :

I would be happy to answer any follow up questions you might have.
