Nissan Nivara heater problem. Symptom: heater seems to provide

Customer Question

Nissan Nivara heater problem. Symptom: heater seems to provide some warm air intermittently usually just after starting up then nothing. I have flushed the heather matrix and that is clean and water flows without a problem. From the engine compartment the feed pipe to the heater matrix gets almost hot after a few minutes running then return to be barely warm. Even after a run this pipe never seems to get hot? If the heater system is based on blending air, does the fact that this pipe is not getting hot suggest a problem other than the blend door?

Many thanks for any help. Much appreciated

Hey there, thanks for your question.

Jake :

are your saying the feed hose to the heater core is not getting hot?

Jake :

if that's the case, is the engine warming up properly?

Jake :

does the temp gauge on the dash read just below halfway?

Jake :

let me know please.
