Jake :

Hey there

Jake :

when you say it felt like you had a flat tire

Jake :

was it making noise like a flat? or pulling to one side?

Jake :

or did it simply just feel like a loss of power?

Customer:

no loss of power, felt like left hand side of car, noise like a flat

Jake :

did it sound kind of like a card in bicycle spokes?

Jake :

assuming you did that as a child lol

Jake :

if the noise resembled the sound of an old diesel truck or a card in bicycle spokes like i mentioned

Jake :

it could be as simple as a fuel damper on its way out

Jake :

which was fairly common on the early muranos

Jake :

as long as your not feeling a loss of power when you hear the noise, i don't think it's CVT related like i have seen in the past with similar noises.

Jake :

let me know if you have further questions please

Customer:

sorry, had to disapear for a min!, yes it sounded like a bike card, and yeah i had one lol

Jake :

in that case i would check the fuel dampers before anything else.

Jake :

there are 2 on this engine befor ethe fuel rails

Customer:

ok, is it safe to drive?

Jake :

yes you should be fine

Jake :

generally what i have seen with these is over time they will gradually get worse

Jake :

until you hear it EVERYTIME you accelerate

Jake :

but it won't really effect your driving at all

Customer:

ok, will do that and see how she goes, thanks

Jake :

your welcome
