i have a nissan covertaball the roof geos up and closses boot but when putting it down it stays open

Hi there, are you saying it won't open all the way to where it closes in the boot?

roof opens up ok goes into boot but then boot does not go down. yet close roof and boot goes down

Thanks, XXXXX XXXXX be a couple of things. First thing that comes to mind is the detention switch that dects the roof in the fully open position. This then tells the boot to close. It;s not entirely uncomon for them to fail.

The other possibility being the hydraulics themselves causing the problem, but generally wen that's the cause it won't close the boot when the roof is up either.

The switch is generally at the fat side front of the bonnet

should be at the front , towards the edge, where the roof goes down at.
