Yes it runs fine then buy if you decelerate to a slow speed it will cut out.
And you have to turn the ignition off and then on again to start it.
Dose the EGR need to be set up in any way ??????
I fitted a new EGR valve £ 400-00 and it seems to have cured the running lumpy.
(by the way the 2 pipes at the bottom of the Valve are coolant pipes arn't they. as there was coolant in them when i removed them.------ If there vacume pipes with coolant in them ----- i think thats BAD----- head gasket gone)
However it still stalls when the tick over is at about 800 rpm.
When u stop at a road junction ----- not all the time just now & then.
It just cuts out Real fast
Thanks, that's not an EGR issue there. Glad the lumpy idle has been rectified.
Is the service engine light on now?
No it put the Engine Light Out
Thanks Brian, this can get tricky.
If it starts and idles just fine, but stalls when coming to a stop then it's generally fuel related. Now this could be as simple as some air in the line or as complicated as needing to read the fuel trims to see what readings are coming in.
Where do i get the Fuel Trims Read mate.
Not a Nissan Garage
Attachments are only available to registered users.
any garage with a scan tool can watch live fuel trim readings.
they will likely show long term, short term, and alpha.
What do they do then ----- adjust some thing.
Before I have The Car Serviced I had no trouble with it should take it back to them.
And have them Bleed the fuel system again.
If you had no issues prior to a certain service then the issues occurred you should certainly have taken it back to the garage that performed the repair.
If the fuel system needs to be bled again then either it was not properly bled the first time or there is a leak letting air in.
The fuel trims are used to see if the engine is running a set ratio or making large adjustments to reach there optimal mixture. If large corrections are being made this could indicate a rich or lean condition caused by the MAF, and air leak, or even an injection issue.
Ok Jake ill ring them in the morning Thanks M8------ Ill keep you informed Ok.
If i come to a stop while towing it will cut out.
Not while crusing.
I cant make it out.??????????????????
When it runs lumpy (Like running on 3 cylinders) if you put your foot on the throttle it takes no notice(No excelleration Nothing)
The "no throttle response" when the symptoms occur is consistent with the TCS error of the ABS unit you have code. When the vehicle thinks the wheels are slipping it will prevent throttle response.
Granted that still doesn't explain the peculiar lumpy idling. At this point it may be a little hard to diagnose over the net as an advanced level scan tool is needed to watch wheel speeds to rule out the ABS/TCS unit faults.
There is certainly something uncommon going on here, but without more data it's almost impossible to say at this point.
Ill have to put it into Nissan and pay there £65-00 an hour and se what they say.
Ill keep you informed Mate -------
Please do keep me updated.
Talk to you soon Brian.
It was the Mass Air Control Valve near the main air cleaner.
I took out the 2 bolts that hold it in.
Cleaned it with Carberettor cleaner.
Let it dry in the sun---- (Didnt Thouch it with my fingers as it looked Fragile.).
It came up like it Was New.
Refitted it and its like a New Car.
No Cutting out at low revs or when in low gear and its stoped running Lumpy.
Nice 1 M8.
