Nissan Repair Questions? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
are you still getting the cam sensor code?
yes its coming up
Did your mechanic use a nisan or aftermarket sensor
i'm not sure I think it was a market sensor
This is what concerns me
I see alot where the aftermarket sensors DO NOT work right
causing the same problems even after the sensor was replaced.
I am thinking the timing belt was unneccesary and it just needed a quality nissan sensor
Chances are if you scoped the cam signal during hard starts the wave pattern would be inconsistant indicating the sensor at fault
It would probably even show while running
My advice would be to tst for conitnuity from the cam sensor wires to the ECM.
if all checks out OK
then put a GENUINE NISSAN SENSOR in
and I bet all your problems go away.
Thanks for the advice ill give it ago . see what happens mechanic is on the way
f you need anything else let me know
if not, please leave a kind rating.
