When you say difficulty with gears..how and when does this usually occur?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

Not often but I have to have the gear stick in the right place, It usually happens when changing up or do down into third gear. It has if the gear stick is not lined up correctly

Hi..there sorry for the delay..

Ok..Best place to start really would be an inspection of the control/gear linkage.between that the gearstick and the gearbox..gear linkage bushes etc for wear and tear or may need lubricated..you can usually tell if its either by manually selecting the gears at the gearbox end to see if the roblem produces itself there - If it not going in as such and needs to be shoved in..then it possible thats where the problem is unless the clutch isnt clearing and not allowing you to get into gear usually down to either worn, problem clutch assembly or the cable needs adjusted - its also possible too the gearbox itself internally may have a problem or possible low oil..so it might be worth draining the oil off and add newer oil and see if that improves the situtation as well as carefull check of the linkage assembly for problems you can see..I do hope this helps..If you need to ask anything else or include anything further then just continue before you rate..
