oil pump not working

Jake :

Well ideally you want to crank the engine with the fuel pump fuse removed to prime the engine before starting anyways.

Jake :

You may want to inspect the pick up tube in the oil sump for starters to make sure it's not all blocked up

Jake :

as this could prevent you from getting a good prime and also could be the reason the timing chain fault occurred in the first place due to inadequate oil volume.
